Hey gang,

- worst review? Wow, hard to remember - seriously. I know I was always disappointed by the reaction of one LA Christian insider. She's not a reviewer per se but certainly didn't like us. That hurt. What did I change because of that reaction? Really looked at her comments. Some rang true - others did not. One that rang true was making our characters more flawed and so we've since strived to do that.

- best review? It's funny, the reaction that most hurt came from a Christian - because it was from a supposedly "friendly source". I'd have to say the review I was most proud of was probably that "Hustler" one just because it came from the very last place I'd ever have thought. To know that that reviewer actually enjoyed it floored me. Also, some of the Pastor's reviews of LEFT BEHIND: WORLD AT WAR after their initial church screening. To hear reports of people coming forward to accept Christ... WOW, you can't get a better review than that! Ever.

- Where's Calvin? Great question. I know he moved back to his home town a few years ago and is still in touch with Paul from time to time but I don't have any recent details.

- Press Release? Argh. Really frustrating but nothing yet.

A Christian review appeared in "HUSTLER" MAGAZINE???? In all places, a Christian review appeared in a PORN magazine????

That's actually....uhh....very interesting. Uncanny, but interesting.

We know you and your brother Peter are great Christian movie makers... Tell us about how you two decided to get into the movie business? What was you very first attempt? Did you always have interest in only Christian movies?

That question is now the must ask smart alecky question that someone has to ask of anyone in a situation like this since our previous president had the complete lack of class to justify that stupid question with a response. If I had wanted to discuss how cliched and inappropriate that question is/was, I would have noted that with more than a ::)

Far be it from me to speak for Andre or Paul - but if you look at the C10 press release section on the website the tentative production slate is listed and a couple of the movies look like comedies to me. About time - the church needs to laugh.

Christian comedies must be VERY careful. While the GENERAL budget for MOST Christian films are already low, attempting comedy on a low budget is very dangerious. Comedy from non-professionals can come off as amaturish, silly, stupid, and ridiculous.

I've seen a company attmpt one before, and it resembled more of a tragedy than a comedy. The humor fell so flat.

It would take an incredibly bold step for a low budget Christian production to attempt comedy.

It CAN work, but it's not near as easy.

i agree with you but here is the one sentence blurb about these movies right from the C10 site

Currently In Development for 2009 release:
" Dirk and The Devil- A young man who is upset with evil in the world duct-tapes the Devil to his radiator."

" Camp Eden- An unpopular teen travels to a camp to win the girl of his dreams- only to realize it's an evangelical Christian camp."

I see the potential for some laughs here. Especially as someone who spent a lot of time at youth camp. You're right though - comedic acting is very difficult and if not done right it becomes quite lame.
